A good lesson plan for 4th grade students would be a lesson on how to type correctly. This will help them in future grades when they begin typing papers for their classes. First, I would start by introducing them to the layout of the keyboard and where to rest their fingers. Then, each lesson they would have to learn how to type a group of 3 or 4 letters until they have learned how to reach the whole keyboard. After, that I would work on increasing the speed at which they type.

Facebook (www.facebook.com) is a website that almost every student on campus uses. This website follows many of the rules listed in chapter 6. It uses a mixture of upper and lower case letters and keeps the text lines short, using limited words to tell you the information. It also limits colors, using only blue and white, and uses these colors through out the whole site. The site also uses a mixture of words and pictures, including pictures of all your friends instead of just listing their names. Also, the navigation buttons are always in the same place on every page and all the important are in bold text to provide emphasis on them.

I have encountered copyrighted and fair use materials in my classes, especially my history and english classes. They would use specific items from books or websites that were not of their own creation but they never used the entire item and it was only to supliment our learning not the main tool of teaching. The teachers also always told us that the work was not theirs and told use who it belonged to and where to find it. As a teacher I may use fair use material if I want to share with my class a specific poem or story that goes along with my lesson plan. However, I will tell my students who the author is and will also descibe to them what plagerism is and why it is wrong.
